  • As we sail the gentle currents of Nidelva, you'll be introduced to Trondheim's most iconic sights. We glide past the vibrant Bryggerekka, showcasing the city's maritime heritage, and cruise up to the historic Old Town Bridge. The tour brings us face-to-face with the magnificent Nidaros Cathedral, allowing you to admire its impressive architecture right from the river's edge.

    After fully absorbing the architectural and scenic beauty of the city from this peaceful river perspective, the tour transitions to a more exhilarating phase. The boat turns around and exits the river, leading us onto the open Trondheimsfjord. Here, the pace quickens as we embark on a high-speed journey towards the historic Munkholmen.

    This thrilling finale along the Trondheimsfjord contrasts sharply with the earlier calm, providing a dynamic experience. The tour concludes at our central facilities, conveniently located near the Trondheim train station.

Island Boat Tour from Trondheim

DURATION 3 hours 30 minutes

This tour begins with a thrilling boat journey from Trondheim aboard a RIB boat, taking you to the island of Tautra in the Trondheimsfjord and the magnificent Klostergården. Here, you can choose to enjoy food made from local ingredients, try hand-brewed beer in idyllic surroundings and visit the farm shop.

  • Klostergården, now family-owned, is run by father Ståle and his son Jørn. Ståle excels in homemade cuisine, drawing on the family's ancient recipes. At the restaurant they primarily use local ingredients from their own farm and the surrounding area. Ståle is an expert in reimagining old culinary traditions with a modern twist. You have the option to purchase lunch individually if you choose.

    The Microbrewery at Klostergården was started as a complement to their food and beverages service when Jørn returned to the farm. The goal was to craft unique beers that would pair well with the meals made on the farm. They currently offer about 30 different beers. You can choose to buy a beer tasting package, where you get to taste 5 of the beers.

    At the farm shop, they sell farm-produced food, beer from their own brewery, cheese, cured meats, spices, and sweets. It also offers various skincare products from Tautra Mariakloster. 

    The tour concludes with a fast-paced journey from Tautra Island back to Trondheim, ensuring that the return is as exhilarating as the adventure itself.
